SEO Consultant – SEO Reports
by Mike on Jul.02, 2009, under General, Projects, Web Development
So, when I’m in work or doing some freelance stuff I often have to create structured reports that outline the problems with a website from an SEO perspective. It’s quite a difficult task sometimes as I always want the best for the clients and have to be careful not to recommend the wrong things incase it damages what good SEO they already have.
After a few of these reports is was obvious I had a bit of a nack for getting it right.
I decided that I could make money from this. I’ve started a new web site which will hopefully turn into a successful business. At the moment I’m only charging £50 (yes, £50) for the full report. After I’ve got my PageRank up a bit and got myself some quality backlinks going I’ll probably raise the price up substantially, probably to £100-£150.
If you’re a web development agency I’m currently taking on affiliations. You’ll sell my reports and take a 10% commission. Not a great come back from an already stupidly low price, but you must consider the money you’ll be receiving from the work the report outlines. There may be 50 points in the report, each taking 1 hour to complete on average. You charge £40 per hour. You’ve just made yourself £2000 from doing absolutely nothing – and I’m sure you have more than one client – a potential goldmine for you.
